Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. ~ Hebrews 11:1
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. ~ Prov. 23:7a
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
“ For yet a little while,
And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.”
But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
~ Hebrews 10:35-39
Today I come to You in faith, asking for what I fear I may lack – great faith! Help me, Lord, to understand how I can stand firmly on shaky ground, believe in what I can’t see, trust in what I can only hope for. Bathe me in Your faithful love that I might in turn love You more faithfully. I surrender myself and my body to You right now, along with all my expectations. In exchange, may I receive from You a confidence that can’t be shaken. Make me a woman of faith, Lord. I am not strong enough to create all my own success, but I believe that You will accomplish all the good plans You have for me.
